Update on Annie

Well, her appt went well. We arrived over at Methodist and went to xray. 2 guys came out and called Annie's name. I thought, ut-oh! Annie will have a fit if she has to be naked in front of guys. As we were walking back, me, Annie and Aunt Cindy. I told the guys that Annie wanted my Aunt with her at all times. So, when we got back there, and made our request known and that annie would feel better if Aunt Cindy was with her and if there weren't any men in there. So, the guys vacated and we had all girls. They had her undress and lay on the xray table. They took a prelim xray of her abd. Then they called for the nurse to come in and put in the catheter. Annie did very well during the procedure. Aunt Cindy talked her through it and they had done an excellant job of explaining everything before they did it. Once the cath was placed, and the radiologist came in- they began the test. They ran contrast dye in through the catheter into her bladder. After only about 75mL Annie complained she had to pee. She peed and then they inflated her bladder again. The next time, she held about 100mL and then complained she couldn't hold any more and had to pee. This time they let her pee and removed the catheter at the same time. The test did not show any reflux into the kidneys! That is a huge relief!! However, it still doesn't explain WHY she has fluid on her kidney! So, we are kind of at square one... but hopefully her bedwetting is just a genetic thing and she will out grow it...
