Ok, so my big news... the contractor called yesterday and said he would start on Monday!!! YEAH!!! I'm so excited that we are starting on our house project! I guess he told Jason that he is going to start with the siding? I figured this would be the last thing they did? Anyway, Jason thought that they would side the garage? We will just have to see what is in the works. Apparently, the new septic will only take a day to put in once the health dept approves the perk test that was done. We still have 3 holes in our yard until the health dept comes out and inspects for the septic. Kinsels, the ones doing the septic work, told Jason we were about 1 year away from our septic system being complete junk. We knew that within the next year we needed a new roof, new siding and new septic. Even if we hadn't decided to do the addition, those things had to be replaced. I will post pics as our construction goes along... I did add the perk test picture to "Another fine day"...
Last noc we went to the cruise-in that was held in Canton. Every year I think it gets bigger and bigger! On the square in Canton any one can bring their bikes, their old cars, new cars, trucks or just about anything... and show it off! They have now added food vendors and a play area for kids. There is also going to be a tractor pull this year out at the fair grounds!

These old cars are ones Hobart Ault has restored. He is my dad's double first cousin. He also restores old tractors, but he didn't have any of them up on the square. We are not planning on going to the tractor pull, so I don't know if he is participating in that or not. My dad had his old truck that he restored in there...

This is Jason and the girls in front of my dad's truck.

My dad was wondering around the cruise-in. He likes to talk to all of his buddies that have also fixed up a car or truck...

John and Janice had the 3 older kids. They were bugging John that he should have put his old truck he restored in the cruise-in! Jason and I had errands to run and so we split up the kids into 2 groups! We met up later at the cruise-in. However, John and Janice had to continue to keep our kids as Jason bought a new grill and in order to get it home, we had to fold down the back seat in the van!
It was a great noc for the cruise-in and I think everyone had a good time!
Today we are going to be busy getting ready for our Father's Day cook-out tomorrow! I am looking forward to having our families come over and spend the afternoon with us!

Looks like a good time. My dad used to buy old junk cars and restore them. I spent many a days at car shows like this one with him! He still loves going to the shows, says he doesn't have time or patience to do it anymore.
Sorry we missed you guys! Emma & I were there but she was a grouch & we had to leave early. It was a beautiful night & I wish we could've stayed! Glad you had a good time!
