Every day stuff...

Today was hecktic... as all my days seem to be anymore... sorry, no real pics to post as today was just ordinary... ok well maybe I have a few...

The twins turned 17mo yesterday. I didn't get one pic of them (these are from today) as Cadie spent her day on my lap and Courtney spent her day resting and puking (not in that order). Today Courtney seems somewhat better, but she isn't eating very well. I am not sure how much is b/c she doesn't feel good or how much is b/c we have hit "the PICKIES." Time will tell!

Cadie on the other hand, spiked a 101.2 temp yesterday and I noticed a couple days ago she was once AGAIN, getting a red spot on her diaper area. Well, by yesterday it had more than doubled its size and she had the temp (same thing she did last time, but I didn't relate the temp to the boil). Today I called to take her to see Dr. Well. Dr. Well is on vacation (who says doctors get vacations?) So, I called Dr. Chamberlin (who I adore and he sees Annie and Sammy) and begged for him to see Cadie. I didn't want to let the nasty boil go another week without intervention. So, Cadie is on ANOTHER round of Bactrim and Bactroban. I pray that this clears up and we don't have anymore boils!

This morning started out with Jason getting home a little later than normal as he went to the grocery store (for 7up and whole milk), and then talked to his mom about plans for Thursday... I wanted to go to the hospital and do my "education" training... but those plans changed when I called the doctors office at 10:20 and they say we have to be there at 11a. It is a 30min drive to get there! We hurried up and gathered up Annie, Sammy and the twins and got to the office. Once we left there, we went to walmart to pick up all kinds of non-essential stuff (sorry Becky, I meant to look for those barettes) and then went across the road to visit my dad who was mowing Heartland Nursing home. He has been mowing this nursing home since 1990. This is his "retirement job" and now he has Jeffrey helping him. After visiting briefly, we headed to drop off the prescriptions at Walgreens, and went to Burger King for lunch (we hate eating out almost daily, but when all of the shops are in Canton and we live so far out of town it is very unhandy and COSTLY to drive home and then back to town). Once we were done eating, we went to pick up the prescriptions, and then headed to Alexander Lumber to pick out our new siding and shingles and shutters. Once we left there, we went to Easley Mechanical to pick out faucets and our bathroom toilet and shower stall. Then we were told by Easley that our vanity and mirror will be ordered thourgh Alexander lumber. So, we did a little detour to Hannam's Ice Cream and enjoyed a little treat before heading back to Alexander's to order our vanity and mirror. We get that ordered and then decide to drive by a house that had the color of siding we were thinking of using... we were looking at going with 'autumn yellow' however, after driving by this house, and lucky for us, the house next to it was the other color we had been thinking about! We decided on 'heritage cream' instead of the 'autumn yellow'. Our roof is going to be blue, our front door will be blue (when we order it) and our shutters are going to be blue. I should take a pic of the house we looked at b/c they had our color scheme exactly except they don't have a blue roof.

I am very anxious to break ground and construction should start in a couple of weeks. The first thing will be a new septic system. Then I believe the new basement will be dug and the geo-thermal will be placed... I will give full details as it goes along.

To wrap up our day, we got home, sat down for less than an hour and had to be back on the road again as Sammy had a t-ball game. The 2 older kids stayed with my parents and their dad is suppose to pick them up tomorrow as it is his birthday and he is going to spend a little time with them. They wanted to buy him something for his birthday, but the cheap-skate I am said NO! I wouldn't mind giving the kids money for a gift if he paid his child support! However, when he does not pay any support at all, I can NOT justify spending MY hard earned money on HIM!! I know this is very hard for Annie and Sammy to understand, but I told them that maybe their Grandma Diane (his mom) or Diana (his girlfriend) needed to take them shopping to get something for him.

Jason, me and the twins got home about 8:30p or so and I quickly fixed the girls a late supper and they did eat better, and then our normal routine of baths, sippy cups and bed. We were all so tired and all fell asleep watching TV.

Jason is picking up Jonah tomorrow, and he will get to be here for 2 weeks. Jason goes on vacation in a few days and I am anxiously awaiting for him to have some time off work. We don't have any major plans but we seem to be able to fill our days just doing every day stuff!

We are planning a cookout for Father's Day. I am hoping our families will be joining us to celebrate. Isn't it funny how for Mother's Day we expect gifts and to be taken out to eat, but leave it to men on Father's Day to want to cook and entertain! I am hoping that my dad will come out and bring his White Mountain ice cream freezer and we will make homeade ice cream! My mouth is already watering as it has been over a month since I have had any!
