The great thing about being a nurse? Your children aren't afraid to have doctors and nurses look them over and they actually LIKE the instruments! Courtney climbed up on the little lion and grabbed my otoscope...
Then, this is just sad, but it was too funny to watch and not take a picture of... Cadie found this little bottle and it looks like those little wine bottle or little shot bottles... anyway, Cadie looks like she is drinking...
As for the construction... I am so far behind. They are making progress every day and I am slacking in pics and what all has been accompilished.
The people who do insulation have been here and put insulation in. The drywall is here and the Easley Mechanical people have been here doing duct work getting ready to install the geothermal. They put in registers and cold air returns in our living room (formerly a garage) which was a challenge b/c the floor used to be a slab... however, they very creatively did it and now my living room is actually cold! Before it was always hot in the summer and cold in the winter (unless we ran the fireplace). Now it is so nice and I have even turned up the thermostat b/c I have been so cold!
This week we will make huge progress and I can't wait until the end of the day tomorrow as the drywall should all be hung.
A lot of the work that has been done lately has been on the basement... this is a pic of the jetted tub...
This is where they have finally tore down the brick wall.
As a last note, I have added a prayer list. These past couple of weeks have been very tough for many of my friends and I feel their pain. So, please, when you pray, pray for them as well. My friend Bert, lost her husband while he was bike riding in Colorado. He was hit by an underage, unlicensed minor, who apparently stole the vehicle. My other good friend Mary Ann, lost her husband to cancer. He was doing so well and had many times where we really were concerned for him and he would go into remission and this last time, I had every hope that it was his last battle and all would be well. Imagine my surprise to learn he passed away Friday. My heart breaks for her... they have been through so much. Then lastly, a gal I met through an online group for multiples when I was pregnant with the twins... one of her twin daugthers (Tuesday) was diagnosed with a Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. I am just sick over this as well. This is a new development and has really hit them out of left field. Please pray for them and all children who are abused, missing or exploited.

Construction is really coming along! I can't believe how much they've got done just in a matter of days.... it's amazing! I'm definitely thinking about ya all the time... with everything that's been going on. Day or night, I'm always here, so just give me a call whenever you need someone to talk to.
