one of those days

Ever have one of those days where you are just in the way? well, our house was full of people working on our construction. We had Easley Mechanical out b/c they are doing the geothermal unit and had to put duct work in our living room. Originally our living room was the garage. The previous owners converted the garage to a living room, but in the process never ran duct work into the living room.

Of course, our contractor is here they are still working on the house structure. They have cut the door through the brick into what will be the bathroom in the basement...
This is looking down our long hallway. I should measure it... it is like 25ft long or something like that!
This is our shower that will be in our bedroom...
This is our new bathtub. We had a one piece unit put in. It looks so much nicer than having caulk lines in our old one!

since our house had more than our fair share of people in it, we gathered up laundry and decided we were going to wash all of our loads of laundry at the laundry mat all at once just to get it all done. Well... after spending $20 to just wash bedding, we brought the rest home! Besides that I swear everyone had the same idea! The laundry mats were packed with people! It took another $5 to dry what we had and then we headed home. Once we got home, we gathered up our children and headed into Big Creek Pool to swim. They were having a Luau Party. Not only did we get to swim, but they were serving hawaian pizza as well! It was the first time the girls had really been in a big pool. They had gotten in the pool at the YMCA when we had the kids birthday party, but it isn't the same as Big Creek. They have where the water comes up on kind of a beach area, a baby slide, jets that shoot water up and different pipes that bring water out various contraptions.
The girls at first cried. Mostly wimpering. They really weren't too sure about it all I told Jason to get their pacifiers and then see if they started to become more comfortable in the water. They started to warm up after that. This is Jason and the girls walking into the water...
Jason and the girls and JM walked across the pool area and went to sit on the other side where it was much quietier... They started to warm up a little, they had stopped wimpering... But they still were sticking close to daddy for comfort!
Jonah is always such a ham. If there is a camera out, he has a big smile, holds still and is ready to have his picture taken! He may make some goofy faces, but he loves to be in front of the camera! Wonder if we have a future actor on our hands some day!
The older kids love to go down the slides. Annie taking the plunge...
Jonah coming down the slide...
Sammy coming down the slide...
I went back to check on the girls... they were doing much better!
JM and Courtney sharing stories...
The girls really got to liking the water and enjoyed playing with Daddy and JM...
After playing in the water for a while, we went and ate and then came back and the girls discovered the water slide... They really had fun climbing up the steps and sliding down the slide...
Courtney making a big splash!

Before heading out, we gathered up the kids on the slide and tried to get one good picture of the whole gang...

Well, since we seem to have a few ham bones, I tried another shot...
more goofballs....
Oh well... I gave up! My camera battery was dead!

Great pool pictures. It reminds me of the local water I used to go to as a kid.

Also, I can't wait to see what your home looks like after all the construction is done. Thanks for always posting pictures on the progression.
