The twins day

Ok, so I did the reflections post and I really had many more pics and stories to share... so now I am going to recap our day with the twins turning 18mo. (I still can't believe they are 18mo old!)

Our day started out with the girls getting up and having breakfast. Our typical breakfast is waffles and a cereal bar with a cup of milk. Courtney now walks over to the cabinet that has the cereal stuff in it, gets out a cereal bar and throws it up on the table! Jason hadn't seen her do this before, so he was quite impressed. Courtney and Cadie have gotten where they can give hugs and kisses now and will hug and/or kiss each other. I make them do it each time one of them hurts the other! Courtney is normally the one who is stealing the pacifier, biting, or hitting Cadie on the head. She also pushes her around on a daily basis!

Jason took some pics of the girls when I was sleeping on the couch and I happen to love this one of Cadie. You can finally tell her hair is starting to come in...
and it seems it is going to be reddish blonde! We always joke about Cadie's red-headed temper, guess we will see if she has the red hair to match the temper!
Courtney has gotten to be quite the ham. She is such a show off and if she knows you are looking and paying attention, then she will really act up to hold the attention! She has gotten quite good with perfecting her grin!
Here is Courtney not hamming it up yet...

And Cadie...

Our evening got under way as Annie had a ballgame in Fairview and Samnmy had one in Cuba. One of Annie's friends, Skyler and her mom came to pick Annie up and take her to the game. We headed to Cuba for Sammy's game. We have went to a couple of Annie's games and we felt like this time we needed to go to Sammy's game. He has really came along way playing ball this year. He has never played before and has learned alot and tries really hard. They rotate them through various outfield positions and he played shortstop.... and first baseman. I was impressed when he was first baseman, he actually caught the ball and got a kid out! He also has gotten the hang of hitting the ball and running the bases. He made it to first and then later was able to run home!

As much as I love watching the older kids play ball... it is hard to watch much besides the twins when we are at a game. We try to bribe them with goodies or walks around the park to keep them occupied! Courtney not only liked the freezy pop... but she had just as much fun walking around with the wrapper hanging out of her mouth!
After the game was over we went to my parents house to wait for Annie to get done with her game and for Skyler's mom to bring Annie to us. The girls immediately have to check out the fish at my parents place when they get there... they love looking at the fish and trying to touch them! My dad was busy putting new chrome rails on the side of his truck he restored. Hard to believe he only paid $50 for it!
Once he was done with that project, him and Jason had to go down and check out the smoldering pile of the old oak tree. Between Jason and Dallas Taylor, they took all the burnable wood and all that is left is the stump, brush and some sponge wet pieces of wood... so my dad is trying to burn it down so he doesn't have to mow around it.
As we were standing outside talking, Jeffrey had loaded up the girls in the jeep he repainted just for the girls... and was pushing them around in it!

This was Jeffrey's jeep when he was little. It no longer runs, but they are working on getting that fixed. Jeffrey thought it would be neat to paint it since it had faded from being left outside alot! Cadie was pretty patient in letting Courtney drive first, but Cadie was wanting to try it out as well...
JM is such a good big brother...
He sure loves his sisters, and they adore him as well...

We had a wonderful day with the twins and got to spend quality time with the kids... one of our utmost favorite things to do!

What a great day. The photo of the girls near the garden bed looks kinda familiar, I think you had a post ages and ages ago of the girls checking out the same garden bed didn't you or am I losing my mind, if you did you need to get a comparison of how they looked then to now.

Love Courtney walking around with the empty popsicle wrapper hanging out of her mouth LOL. She's too funny.

Oh my goodness, a year and a half. We are right behind you as mine will turn 18 months on the 25th! I love that you have them hug and kiss each other when they hurt one another.

The girls are getting SOOO big!! I love all the pictures! Your Dad's truck is so cool! I love old trucks, not sure why since I do not really like trucks, I just think old ones are really cool!
