this is the levee. I was coming home from Macomb and you can see the water in the low areas pretty good from this view. notice the blue off to the left of the road...
as you come down the levee... you can see just how much water is standing in these fields...
this is where Spoon has over flowed and there is still plenty of standing water even days after the storm moved through.
the last pic is of Spoon, for those who don't live around here, take my word for it that this it is bank to bank full! It isn't often that we see it completely full and to me it is an amazing site to see it this full!

Isn't is amazing how much rain we've got clear up here? I have pics from my brother's that I'll have to post. Believe it or not, they got it worse up there!
Its amazing to think Ike had such a big effect so far north.
