We are a gated community...

LITTERALLY....

Gate number one. It keeps the girls off the fire place, out of the diapers and wipes and keeps them out of a bookcase that you can't see.

Gate number two. It keeps the girls out of the kitchen.

Gate number three and four. These gates contain the dining room. notice the one on the right...
This... THIS is my menace! I HATE this gate! The girls break down this gate multiple times in a day! They get into the kitchen and not only drag out containers, pacifiers, maps, lunch boxes... but if there is ANYTHING left on the table it throughly gets explored. Cadie's favorite is salt. She loves to watch the salt pour out of the salt shaker! Cadie's new thing is to open the oven door. Last noc, I caught them with the oven door open and BOTH of them standing on it to reach some cookies! All of this is capable b/c they can break down the gate!

I am about to fix their exploring ways though... I ordered a NEW gate, one that mounts to the wall, much like gate number 2. It is suppose to be here today (which will probably be tomorrow as they have a hard time finding us) but I am so excited! I can't even begin to total up how much I have spent on gates to contain these two! I still have yet another gate that isn't pictured! It keeps them off the open stair well! I also have another gate in the garage that we bought for our stair well, but it wasn't big enough.
I am the queen of gates!

LOL at all your gates! We have a very open style house (too modern for my tastes actually) and there is a sunroom off my dining room. Thats where I have my "main gate"- the evenflo mesh one you have- it has NEVER fallen down! In fact I am contemplating buying the 3 part one at BRU that is just like it. My only other gate is on my stairs in the entranceway (our house is a bilevel design) and my poor dad spent hours making that one so it would swing open and lock. And yet both babies have managed to fall down the stairs- a gate only works when it is CLOSED right?? lol

OK.... gate #1.... that was the gate that I had such a problem with when I was watching the girls! They kept pulling it down & laughing at me while I was putting it back up! LOL It was hysterical... wish I would've had someone to videotape!
