So, in case anyone wondered where I have been... it has been a roller coaster around here and I don't expect it to settle down until about April.
Here is a run down:
Jan 14:
My Uncle Gary died. He is the husband to my Aunt Carol. She is the oldest of the 5 girls, my mom is 2nd oldest. We spent many, many times together. Whenever my parents had to leave for my brother, my Aunt Mary or just a noc out, I spent it with my Aunt Carol and Uncle Gary. They had 3 kids. Tammy, Tracey and Bill.
Bill and I are the same age. My Uncle had been diagnosed about 10yrs ago with chemical induced parkinson's disease. He has been on a decline, but he was on a platuea. Not getting better, but not getting worse. It was completely unexpected for him to die that day!
Jan 15:
I had to work. Since I am a 3rd shifter... this always throws me esp. when I was busy making calls and trying to figure when the visitation would be. I was also suppose to work Friday, but I didn't b/c I can't be up all day, work all noc, be up all day, have visitation that evening and then work all noc, and go to the funeral the next day! So, I asked for a berevement day for Friday noc.
Jan 16:
up most of day with twins, Jason was working extra and the older kids were home from school but had spent the noc with my parents, so no help from the big kids. I managed... sure was tired by time I got home and went to bed!
Visitation was tonoc and we went out for pizza afterwards.
we came home and the kids and i played CLUE and then went to bed!
Jan 17:
Funeral @ 11a
afterwards, Jason and I took our recyclable to the recycling center. It was before Christmas the last time we went! So, there was lots and lots! He even took our aluminum cans in! Normally, I save them and give them to my dad... but since the economy has took a crap... cans are only worth 18 cents a POUND! So, until the economy wants to pay more for cans... I agree with Jason... they can just go to the recycling center! Though, I guess Dad could just keep them in his garage until things start looking up again!
My big kids wanted to stay with my aunt and she teaches Sunday School, so she said she would just take them to Sunday School the next day.
Jan 18:
Day to straighten up, Jason got ready to install the trim in the bathroom and I thought it looked kind of gray... under further inspection... IT WAS! It was painted GRAY... when it was suppose to be bright semi-gloss white! SO... the trim didnt' go in. It got painted again! This time with the right color! Jason started his horrible outage schedule... so he headed to work!
Jan 19:
No school for the kids. This was at least a scheduled day off... however, it made the 4th day in a row they weren't in school! They last were in school last Tuesday! The kid who is going to build our steps (suppose to be one of the best there is) came by and is ready to work on our stairs. I am so excited and now we have to get in contact with the kid who is going to put down our hardwood floor! I just can't even imagine what it is going to look like! Be prepared for the photo bombardment over the next couple of days!
Whew! Now don't you feel tired? I do! It has been rather hectic and I am so looking forward to the kids being in school today!

I am sorry about your uncle. My condolences to your family. I have never heard of chemical induced Parkinson though. Learn something new everyday
I do feel tired. Now relax!
I sure hope things slow down for you soon!
