Cadie...
with her IV.
Cadie laying on daddy...
she has spent most of her time curled up on daddy or curled up on mommy!
Special treat...
POPSICLES!!
It is always a good stay when you get to have Popsicles to help you get better!
I don't have any pics from the ER. Cadie had to endure getting an IV, being cathed and having a suppository. This is just a few of our fun experiences. We also had an X-Ray of her abdomen. Cadie hadn't pooped in 6 days. Note to self... if past 2 days, give prune juice, if past 3 days, give suppository at home!
So, the out come of it all was that Cadie had a large fecal (poop) impaction. Once she passed this, we could focus on her other issues. She is running a low-grade fever. She has vomited more times then I could begin to count. She is dehydrated. She has to work on keeping water and food down. We are getting there. So far, we have managed 40mL of water and a graham cracker and now a popsicle! I think we are doing much better. Courtney started with a fever Saturday afternoon. I am hoping Cadie doesn't get better as Courtney gets worse! Although, I have become very familiar with being on this side of the hospital workings!
Sammy has once again an ear infection. He was running a fever, complained of a sore throat and his sinus's were pretty full. I guess his left ear is hugely inflamed. I have to call next week to get him into the ENT. They are following him closely b/c of his fluid build up in his ears. We have went through 2 sets of tubes. So, I am anxious to learn what is going on with his ears, currently!
JM had us celebrate his birthday from ER. We kept teasing him that he wanted us all back here just like we had been 16yrs ago! We had a very late noc in the ER as they were pretty busy and we were waiting on tests. JM did get admitted. He is doing much better now and has been released. What a way to spend your 16th birthday! However, it was quite fun to reminisce over days gone by!
I must note that in all of this mess... I had a doctor's appt just for a general check up. My lab work was all good except for my GFR was a little low. Nothing to alarming at this point in time. At times I have spilled protein in my urine and this was believed to be normal for me and I am happy to report no protein in my urine! That is a good thing in light of recent events. I did have urates in my urine. I guess these are the crystals that make up kidney stones. I am going to start drinking more water to hopefully prevent any kidney stones!
Thank Goodness for great family and friends who have helped us to cover other children who are at home and make it possible for me to be where my children need me to be.

Poor little Cadie! She looks just fine having the IV! I know it is hard watching your little ones go through that. Hope she is on the road to recovery!
Hope Courtney is not headed down the same road as Cadie!
Glad to hear JM is doing better.
I have been thinking of you guys alot. I will continue to pray that nothing else happens from here.
Oh Christy, I am so sorry for all who've been through so much! UGH!

Hoping everyone gets better quickly. All mine were sick for 2 weeks, playing pass the strep and oh look a new virus!
