Years ago I heard this saying:
"What you are doing at midnoc on the New Year.... is what you will spend the entire year doing."
Well, I was working at midnoc of the new year.
My hubby was working midnoc of the new year.
Does this mean we are going to spend most of this year working? I am thankful for the jobs we have, especially in a declining economy, but...
.... and this is a huge BUT.....
.... I was really hoping this year we would be able to take some time to relax and enjoy each other and our family and not be married to our jobs!
Until I met Jason, I hadn't ever had the luxury of being a SAHM (stay at home mom), never even thought I would want to be one. However, I have discovered great joy in raising little people. I LOVE being home with them and I am determined to spend the first 5yrs here with them!
I joked with my best friend Jen that I should have been exercising last noc that way I might actually stick to an exercise plan and lose some of my weight! LOL
Anyone else want to share what they were doing at the new year and see if my saying holds true for you as well??
I have to say, that in years past, it has been on the mark.
For example, one year, I was driving. I had left some friends to be with other friends... and was driving in my car at midnoc. Well, that year, I can't count how many trips I made back and forth from my parents house to Georgia. Round trip was 1610miles. I made at least 6 to 10 trips!!
This is just one of my many examples of how true that saying has been for me.
Wishing all of you, a very blessed, a very happy, a very prosperous New Year!
