Jason didn't have to go to work til 5p on Friday, so we had done our errands on Friday. I should have taken Jonah by the hospital. I wanted to recheck his pulse ox since it was so low when he went to the doctor. He did start to have an appetite back, and he managed to decrease his naps, but he continued with that horrible cough. He has had a cough every time I see him for at least a year or more! I would say even longer... but I know at least a year. I don't know if he has a chronic cold, or if it is allergies... or what is exactly causing him to have a continous cough. Our doctor here had put him on Claritin (which his mom refuses to give to him). Which, when he is with us, I give him Claritin every day. However, I only have him for 1 week. So, I don't know if he would get better if he was able to take it for a longer period of time? I need to talk to our doctor here more, but I couldn't do it the day I had Jonah there. I didn't want him to hear me talking about his mom.
Ok, on to the rest of my week. Jason and I both worked Friday noc. I didn't have to go in until 11p and so I had fixed chili for the kids... only to realize... it was just me and the twins until my aunt got here with Anna! While I was cooking chili, Jonah was talking to me and fidgiting around where I was cooking at. The countertop on top of the cabinet next to the stove isn't attached and I had told Jonah on Thurs when he moved it that it wasn't attached and he can't grab and pull on it. Well, Friday rolls around and as he is fidgiting around, he grabs it with both hands. Of course it isn't attached and he goes flying backwards and it came over 1/2 way off the cabinet! I screamed "Jonah!" for fear he was going to get smashed with the countertop! Then I had a stern little talk with him about how I had just told him yesterday he couldn't pull on that countertop. I was stern, but I didn't think I was mean... he went upstairs and started crying! I felt terrible! I wasn't trying to be mean... I just wanted him to realize he could get really hurt if that fell on him! I later told Jason that he has to secure that countertop! I am in hopes that maybe by June it will be done! Seems we have lots of projects, just getting the time to get them done is the biggest chore!
So, my Aunt Cindy came out and helped me bathe the twins and get them ready for bed. They were both asleep by time I had to leave for work. Courtney woke up and let out a small cry as I was leaving.. but sometimes she does that and goes right back to sleep. Aunt Cindy went up there to make sure she went back to sleep.
Jason got home about 6am and I got home about 8am... both girls were up by time I got home. I helped Aunt Cindy feed them and Jason left to go help his cousin Heather move to her new place. So, if you are keeping track, we were up Friday getting groceries, and then he went to work, I went to work and we both came home, but he left again... by this time he was going on 24hours without sleep! I slept from about 9am to 1130am and my Aunt woke me up to help get the girls to go down for their nap. Within about 1/2 hour they were asleep. Did I go back to sleep? NO! I ate lunch and talked to my aunt and did dishes... any little odd and end thing!
Jason got home and I showered to get ready for our big birthday party. He did fall asleep in the chair when he was waiting on me to get ready to leave. Once we were all ready, Jason, Me, Annie, the twins all loaded up and went to Monicals. We met John and Janice (his parents), Jannea and Brad (his sister and her boyfriend) and Jonah there. My parents showed up a few minutes later with Jeffrey and Sammy! Our kids were just scattered all over since we were both working! They are easier to manage in smaller numbers! So, we ate, then headed out to go bowling!
All the kids had lots of fun bowling. I couldn't convince my mom to stay and bowl. She use to bowl, but she has trouble with her muscles. So, she doesn't do stuff like that anymore. Jonah, Annie and Sammy were on a lane to themselves, with bumper guards. On our side, we had Jason, Jannea, Brad, Me, Janice and Jeffrey! Grandpa John entertained the girls... with help from whoever wasn't bowling at that moment! It was so much fun!

Jonah was better... however when he gets to being active, his cough comes back full force! I don't know why? Once again, I am left wondering if he is just sick with this cold or if there is something else going on?
After we bowled, then we headed back to our house for cake and ice cream. We sung happy birthday to Jason, Jonah and Jeffrey! Jonah and Jason had to share a cake... but I think that was ok with them! Jeffrey, of course, had to have an ice cream cake... so he had his own with a guitar on it. My parents bought him an electric guitar for his birthday. I am supposed to put money towards it... as it was rather expensive! And people think the twins are expensive! I still owe her for dad's birthday gift! Boys and their toys... I will forever be in debt!
After all the birthday hoopla... my mom helped bathe the girls, Jason cleaned the kitchen, Jannea did the dishes and everyone else pitched in and helped where they could. Soon as the girls were bathed, everyone said their good buys and I think Jason was asleep before Courtney even really got settled in on his lap for her bedtime bottle! He was so tired! I was too... but I had at least gotten to sleep some...

I am exhausted just reading that. I don't know how you do it all honestly. I could never do the overnight shifts like that anymore. I did them once or twice a week while I was working during college and was so sick by 7am that I just wanted to curl up into a fetal position. You amaze me!!! Glad the 3 J boys had a good birthday party!!
Glad to hear you all had such a wonderful time celebrating all the birthdays! I sure hope you get a chance to catch up on some sleep this week!
