The carnival and more..

Wed noc we took the kids to the carnival in Cuba. Bracelets were $13 each and we got bracelets for Annie, Sammy and the twins. I can not believe how much it costs to go to the little carnival in Cuba now! It use to be the bracelets were under $10 and then when they did increase to $10 a couple of years ago, I thought that was terrible! Now, it is $13! I can't imagine what it will be next year! Jason's parents actually came and got Annie and Sammy early so that they could be riding the rides long before Jason and I got there. My dad and JM were also up there. I had to capture this picture of the 2 Grandpa's holding the girls! The girls are definately Grandpa's girls! Both Grandpa's just think the girls are the greatest things since sliced bread! They both spoil the girls rotten and the girls have learned how to say grandpa... except it comes out at "bop-pa" No wonder the girls have them wrapped around their little fingers!

I don't have any good pics of the girls riding the merry-go-round. That was the first ride they went on. Cadie went first and I got pictures of her and Jason, on her first ride, but no one took pictures of Courtney and I when it was Courtney's turn to ride. After the merry-go-round, we went to the cars and I videoed the girls on the first ride. Then we went to the big slide. We had to get tickets for Jason and I so that we could go down the big slide with the twins. Courtney loved it so much she tried to climb back up the slide part! After the slide, we went to get some home made ice cream. After having a little break, we went back to the merry-go-round and the cars again. I didn't want to go down the slide again since it was $4 for Jason and I to go with the twins! I hate the high price of gas! Besides, I think that the girls look so cute riding in the cars... Courtney looks like she is going to throw up, but when the ride was over, she screamed because she wasn't ready to be done riding! I don't have any pictures of the older kids as they immediately take off in different directions to ride rides with their friends. I am hoping we get to go back Saturday noc and maybe I can sneak a picture or two of the big kids!

Thursday - the construction crew was back out here. The mason got the east wall put up and he set the rebars to begin framing in the new addition. He started on the south wall, they have had to be creative when it came to framing around the drain pipe. When they originally looked at the piping under the house, they thought the pipe was over about 5inches. It isn't, so they are having to build the wall around it. Not the most ideal, but we should be fine and you won't be able to tell there is a pipe in the wall.

On a bonus note, the rain we got on Wednesday managed to get under the black paper and so we have water damage on our ceiling. Jason wasn't very pleased. At least it isn't real bad, however, there is a stink in the house and Jason thinks that the smell is from the wet insulation. It is almost as bad as the smell from when they dug up all the septic mud/sludge!

Glad you guys had so much fun at the carnival! It looks like the addition is coming along rather quickly. We drove by after the game this morning but didn't stop b/c I called & Janice said you were at the doctor w/ Sammy. Hope he gets to feeling better soon!

Those carnival pictures are adorable! And I doubt you could have pried either girl out of their grandpas' arms...they look enchanted!
