July 1st already??

I can't believe it is July 1st already! The twins will be 18mo old in 2 days!! Be prepared for a full set of pictures! LOL

Today was a pretty uneventful day, the contractor has been out and working on the addition. Nothing really notable so I haven't taken pictures of it. Monday they leveled out the floor to the addition. They placed the drains and where the sump pump is going to go. They put the drainage bed around the new addition. Today they were out and leveled the dirt around the bricks and put down some gravel where they are going to pour our cement patio. They have also covered the gravel in the new addition. Nothing much to take pictures of!

Our big story is that we got our new living room furniture today! I am so excited! Here is how brilliant Jason and I can be at times. We were having a yardsale in May at my mom's house. We decided to load up our current "hand-me-down" furniture and see if we could sell it. Well, as luck would have it, IT SOLD. So, we made a mad dash to Peoria to order new furniture. We were told that it COULD take up to 12 WEEKS to get here! We thought we could get by using beanbags as furniture. That lasted about a week! No one wanted to come over because we didn't have any place to sit! My Aunt Cindy, graciously, gave us an extra loveseat and loaned us a rocker/recliner to get by until our furniture was here. This is the twins on my Aunt's loveseat... They took up so much room on there! I am amazed at how much they have grown in the last year!
Ok, I had to drag these pics out... all the talk of how much the girls have grown... this is the twins a few days after they were born...
can you believe how much they have grown in a year and a half! Thanks to my friend Debi, I had to take a trip down memory lane!

So, this is our new furniture, and the girls had to break it in properly...
and this is what the whole set looks like. There is one piece of the sectional missing. It was damaged when it got to the store, so they are sending us a new one. It will sit in the corner between the couch and the loveseat...
However, I do like it even without the center piece. I still have some tape to remove from the wood pieces.

We also worked on the basement today to move the kids entertainment center off the wall that is getting tore down. I have discovered, my kids have way to many toys! Once the space was cleared, Jason removed the old dark wood paneling and even marked where the wall is going to have the big whole in it going into the new addition! We still have so much work to do, but every day it seems like we get a little closer to completion!

I love the pictures of the girls! Emma had the same lavender & white flowered sleeper they did.... brings back many memories! I can't believe they're all growing so fast!
