Jason and I had spent yesterday switching our room and the boys room. The boys room is about 10x9 and our room is about 12x15! so, we are a little cramped! Our bed barely fit in the boys room! However, we got the rooms swapped out.
The contractor called us out yesterday and had us do a walk-thru of the new addition and to look it all over. Yesterday was a big day for our construction progress! It really all came together yesterday and now I am more anxious than ever for our addition to be done! We were very impressed!
This is what is going to be our new masterbath and our walk-in closet is on the outer wall...

This is looking back at the hallway (on the right) that will connect the old and the new and the twins walk-in closet is on the left...

After the construction crew left for the evening, I started to gather the kids around as Sammy had his last game last noc. When we were getting ready to leave, I noticed a horrible smell. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I noticed it most when I was in the living room the most. I thought one of the girls had thrown a dirty diaper over the gate in front of the fireplace and I had missed putting it in the diapergenie. As me and the kids searched for the source of the smell, time was marching on and we had to be at the ballgame. So, I gave up and left.
When we returned at 8p and opened up our back door, the smell about knocked us over! I called Jason at work and John came up to see if he could find the source of the smell. It was so bad that I couldn't take the girls in the house. They stayed outside and played on their swingset while Grandpa John tried to figure out where the smell was coming from or locate the source of the smell!
Annie and I decided to take the girls to Grandma Janice and we went back to the house to help Grandpa John figure it out. I hadn't been in the house very long until we found the source... Grandpa John noticed that one of the knobs on our stove had been turned just a little bit. The turn wasn't enough to set off the ignitor, but it was enough to open the gas valve!
Annie had opened some of the windows and I had opened the patio door and shut off the air while we were searching for the smell. Once we discovered the source of the smell, and realized it was LP GAS...
We left the house rather quickly!
One of the twins must have turned it every so slightly! They seem facinated with all kitchen appliances at this moment in time. They are constantly trying to open the stove, or will pull out the bottom drawer that holds the cookie sheets. They also open our freezer door (our freezer is on the bottom of our fridge) several times in an hour if they are allowed into the kitchen! I didn't even realize they had been around the stove that day!
I ended up staying at John and Janice's for about an hour or so and then Grandpa John came up here to check to see if the gas smell was gone. He said it was better than it was. When Annie and I got here with the twins, I thought the smell was still too bad to stay here. So, the girls and I loaded up and spent the noc with my parents!
We slept on the hide-a-bed (which isn't the most comfortable bed), but we were thankful they let us stay! It isn't an easy task to invade someone's home with 3 kids with me and 2 were already staying at Grandma's... but we managed! This was the first time the twins had ever spent the noc at my parents house! Cadie slept on the sectional and Courtney had slept on the hide-a-bed with Annie and me.
I don't have a pic of Courtney sleeping on the couch as we crashed early and then soon as the sun came up this morning... Courtney was awake! ugh!
I did get this picture of "the Ham" once she was up and dressed!
Once we got home, the twins ate some breakfast and headed into the living room where daddy was sleeping...
