Friday Foto Fiesta (finally)!!

As I have been trying to decorate my hallway with pictures, I ran across this one...

... JM and Magic.

Of course, this is a really old picture. Magic was a puppy I got shortly before I found out I was pregnant with JM. She is a Cocker Spaniel and was one of the best tempered dogs around. She loved JM and from the first day home, she would poke her nose into his cradle to watch over him. Sadly, when I was pregnant for Annie, my dad accidently ran over Magic. I was heartbroken and I cried and cried and cried.

I cherish this picture. If you look close, or click on it to blow it up.. she is giving JM kisses. It was captured amazingly well, and normally, I am not a big fan of puppy kisses... but it was different with Magic. She was human, just covered by fur.

The girls were trying on their new pjs... they have little tutu's with them. The girls had so much fun spinning around in their little tutu's. I had no idea they would love the tutu's the way they did! They had so much fun and for some reason, decided they needed to dance around with their bellies hanging out.
I just had to sit back and laugh!
Jannea actually captured this shot on her camera, but she generously let me scan her pics to my computer before she headed home!

This Friday, I decided to show off how much hair Cadie has now. In our house, this has been a long awaited event... Courtney, of course, has hair half way down her back... but Miss Cadie... well, we finally have enough for a ponytail...

We went out to eat last noc for Grandma Janice's birthday. We had a pretty good time, and the girls did pretty good over all. By the end of the meal, they were ready to go.

Wow! Its Friday! Where has this week gone??

Time for Candid Carrie's fabulous Foto Fiesta that goes on every Friday!

I know I have been a slacker lately... Im sorry... I keep promising to do better... and I will... I swear I will...

Anyway, without further ado...

JM and my dad

I love this pic. It is a great pic of my dad. Nevermind the weird teenager (rolling my eyes)!

I have no idea what JM was doing... he really can look normal... that isn't his 'real' smile... but it is great of my dad!

So far this year has really hit us hard. My Aunt Carol's husband died in January. That was hard for everyone. Out of my mom's sisters, Aunt Carol is the first one to have her husband die. It is hard to comprehend how much time you have spent with someone and then have them die. It seems very unreal to me. Once we bounced back (barely) from that, the twins were sick, my dad had some health issues going on, JM was in the hospital, Cadie was in the hospital... Sammy had an ear infection and Annie is now sick. Seems like we have had one thing after another around here!

Well, I am happy to report that my dad got a good report from his doctor yesterday!

Yeah, I'm so happy, grateful, blessed, and very thankful!

...the pilot!

I picked this picture b/c recently JC had me go out and take pics of him and the plane. He is so proud of his plane. He is so proud to be a pilot. Most of all... he is now the proud owner of a Garman 196*.
*A Garman 196 is a special GPS unit for an airplane. They have their own special software to show all the airports of a specific region. They can be rather costly... I think brand new it retails for about $700. Thank Goodness for Ebay!*
That is all he wanted for Christmas. It is all I have heard about for the last 2mo! Finally, he got one! I am so glad! As long as it helps him to stay safe while flying... I am all for it... no matter what the cost is!

The other morning, I got the biggest laugh from this...

the girls were ready for Daddy to come downstairs for breakfast! They decided to take matters into their own hands and run him out of the shower!

**I have to note that Daddy was about done with his shower and the girls are not quiet when they enter a room, so he did have plenty of time to get covered before the ripped the curtain open on him! I happen to have the camera on the bookshelf b/c I had been sitting in bed downloading pics from my camera to the laptop! Can I say how THANKFUL daddy is that I always seem to have my camera nearby? LOL**

She thinks she should do whatever MOMMY does!

Anytime the computer is up and nearby on the wedge between the couches... you will catch Courtney with the computer in her lap "typing"
It is quite cute... unless she messes with my settings, shuts it down when I don't want her to or sends emails I meant to finish!
Then it isn't quite as cute!

Friday Foto Fiesta (twins are 22mo)

My in-laws had a weinee roast last weekend and the girls thought it was great fun to play in a cardboard box...

Daddy managed to tie an old jump rope through it and we were able to pull them around in the box. They were quite the sight! It didn't take long for us to get tired of pulling 60+lbs round! The girls however, could have sat in there all noc and been pulled around and around and around!

I am also using this picture as their 22mo picture b/c on Nov 3, we were so busy and I missed getting the picture taken. I was going to take a pic of them all dressed up in their fancy clothes for the visitation... but I didn't!
Then, I could have kicked myself b/c the very next day, Cadie woke up with an eye that was matted shut, swollen and as the day went on bruised underneath! It looked horrible! I didn't want their 22mo pic to be of her goopy eye! So, I didn't take a pic of them on Nov 4th either! I figure the pic from the weinee roast (Nov 1) is close enough! LOL
By time Cadie's eye appt came around yesterday, her eye was totally better...

all we can figure is she must have had something in it, that worked its way out.

Courtney is her onry self as usual...

she definately thinks she is in charge!

Mommy makes the girls sleep in their crib... but amazingly... they manage to fuss just enough so that Daddy lets them sleep with him! They definately have him wrapped around those tiny pinkies!

For my Friday Foto Fiesta I picked some oldie but goodie pics of the kids.

We had gotten a down pour of rain and our ditches flooded. The kids decided to run through them like wild children! They had a blast running through the water!
Annie... making a splash...

Jonah who was 3 at the time, couldn't run through the water like Annie and Sammy. He would get up and start to run and make about 4 or 5 steps and crash (or I should say splash)!

Cadie and Courtney are so loving to each other... it is funny that when one is sleeping the other twin will go over and cuddle or kiss or rub their hair... the sleeping twin never seems to mind either!

I have been searching for a good foto for this Friday's Foto Fiesta...
I selected this picture b/c I love all the kids on the slide.

This was taken Thanksgiving 2006. I was pregnant with the twins, Jason's cousin Garret and Karen had just had Samantha, and it was his Grandma's last Thanksgiving. So, this is all the great-grandkids... (minus Samantha who was 2mo old at the time) on Jason's side.
