The girls were trying on their new pjs... they have little tutu's with them. The girls had so much fun spinning around in their little tutu's. I had no idea they would love the tutu's the way they did! They had so much fun and for some reason, decided they needed to dance around with their bellies hanging out.
I just had to sit back and laugh!
Jannea actually captured this shot on her camera, but she generously let me scan her pics to my computer before she headed home!

Two for Two-sday

On this special Two for Two-sday, I thought I would show what it is like to try to get Courtney's hair cut!

Courtney has had at least 4 haircuts. Cadie... None!

Our hair dresser Melanie did trim up a few of the long fly away hairs that Cadie had. So, maybe now her hair will take off and grow. When it came time for Courtney to get her hair cut... Cadie hopped up in the chair and was ready to get her hair trimmed!
Cadie loves to have her hair combed and trimmed and loves to sit up in the chair and loves to look at herself in the mirror! She is such a diva!

In order to get Courtney to sit still... not only does Cadie sit with her...

... but we also bribe her with a sucker!

The little turkey! JM calls her the skunk... now you know why!

Friday Foto Fiesta

This Friday, I decided to show off how much hair Cadie has now. In our house, this has been a long awaited event... Courtney, of course, has hair half way down her back... but Miss Cadie... well, we finally have enough for a ponytail...

Two for Two-sday

Its time for Two for Tuesday!
Up this week is the twins....

The girls have started exerting their independence and since have learned to take toys away from the other one! In an effort to promote kindness, when one twin hurts the other twin... we make them hug each other!

Thankful Thursday...

This is Cadie...

home from the hospital.

She had to have lab work done and Xrays. Poor thing.

She remained like this for about 3 hrs. Then at 4p, something amazing happened. She got up, walked over to me (she hadn't walked all day) and wanted to sit next to me. I was eating, and she wanted a bite. Well... there was no way she could eat pizza like I was... so I made her some toast. She took one bite and wouldn't eat anymore. So, I asked if she wanted some applesauce. She nodded yes. I fed her a small cup of applesauce. She drank a little tea. She sat for a few minutes... then ate a little more applesauce.

By 7p, she was wanting cereal! I was reluctant to do this (I was still thinking she was going to upchuck the applesauce). But, she insisted. So, I gave her some rice cereal with a little milk. She drank the milk and asked for more. I gave her a little more milk. She drank that and ate a few bites of Rice cereal. We have hit a turning point!

By 8:30p, she stole one of Courtney's cookies and raced off to eat it.

That is the Cadie I know!

Not sure what this virus was... but apparently it had the power to really wreck Cadie. She was sick to the point she has lost 3lbs. She was lethargic, she was puking or had diarrhea the whole time. She had a 3 day stent in the hospital with IVs, and seriously had me worried something major physically was wrong.

I am THANKFUL it was just a virus (I say just a virus like it didn't make her so sick that she couldn't hold down food for a week)!!

Happy Birthday Hubby

Today is my hubby's birthday!
Too bad he had to work all day!
However, once he came home, I had supper ready and his parents were here!

Shortly after supper, we had cake and ice cream...

Got all of them blown out (took 2 breaths though)!

Barnyard Days

The Cuba High school always puts on Barnyard Days. The students can bring in their pets or tractors or livestock... whatever to show off for the day. Every since my kids were little, I have taken them to the school for this day and let them see the animals. It is always a huge hit. Here are the highlights...

The girls were a little shy at first, but once they spotted Emma everything was a-okay! They went over and greeted their dear friend and then proceded to walk from one animal to the other to another. They were very interested in all the animals and liked to pet them. All the animals were very good natured and did very well considering they had roughly 200+ kids that came through and visited today!

Valentine's Weekend Recap

Friday, the kids got out of school early. Jen and I decided to take our crew over to Peoria to have their pictures taken. It was pure chaos... but we loved every minute of it!

Wagie Rides for Tuesday!

My Best Friend Jen and I had our balloon release. I did video it... however, I need to watch it and then download it to my computer before I can share it!

Anyway, I did take a few pics. They turned out beautifully!

Jen and her girls came over to our house (because I had worked and the girls had been sick). She brought balloons, and tied NUKS on and waited so patiently for me to grab a shower!
(I'm lucky she has the patience of a saint!)

As we were getting ready to leave, we see this...

Emma thought that was pretty great, having a NUK tied to the end of the balloon!

The twins were loaded up and ready to go...

it was such beautiful weather and the twins LOVE their wagon! We decided to just walk down the gravel road by our house. We had talked about walking all the way to the bridge... however, that is quite a walk and neither me nor Jen was up for that!

Emma was excited to be in her wagon too!

We headed down the road... only to realize, we left without one pacifier and Emma didn't have her sunglasses on! Big sister to the rescue! Hannah ran back and grabbed her sunglasses for her!

We walked a ways down the road and picked a dry spot to set off the balloons...

with their balloons to send to Tuesday! Hannah picked out a really pretty butterfly balloon to send! We soon discovered that the balloons with NUKs didn't fly... so we quickly snapped them off and released the balloons!

Once we watched the balloons float off into the distance... we noticed Cadie taking off into a field!
She had to wade through a ditch full of water... twice!
So, the messy girls got put in one wagon together!

We walked back to my house and as we got closer and was attempting to put the wagons up... Cadie takes off running across our yard that is so soggy from all the melted snow and not packed down yet b/c of construction last year. As I take off after her... I loose my shoes! They become stuck in the mud! I ended up running across the yard without my shoes!
To make matter worse... not only is Cadie a mess from the watery ditch, I'm a mess from running across a muddy yard without my shoes!
For those who don't know me... I hate dirt and mud and yuck!
Cadie wasn't allowed in the house until all muddy clothes were removed. As for me... well, lets just say I am thankful my neighbors weren't home!
Im also thankful that Jen's camera was safely out of reach!
Hannah... well, Hannah thought it was quite cute to sing a little limmerick for me! Won't say which one... but lets just say she saw way more than London and France!

OH! I almost forgot! Jen ordered Tuesday tiles for us and they came in the other day! These are the cutest things I have ever seen! If you haven't ordered them you have to do so by February 14th! Don't forget to mention FOR TUESDAY in the comment field!!

The Twins Room is done!!

Finally,
and I really mean FINALLY the twins room is done!

Jason and I finished the painting on Thursday, and put the trim up on Friday.
To me it is so perfect and just how I imagined it would be.
Pretty pink carpet, pink walls, purple trim and white bead board. I love it!

We moved the cribs back against the walls (they had been in the center with a narrow walk-way between them). Now I just have to put pictures up on the walls. I haven't put any pictures up since we are still waiting to have our hardwood floor put down.
Jason was worried the pictures would be in the way or get knocked off. So, we have left the walls bare. I am sure I could hang stuff in the girls room without too much worry. I may work on that this weekend.

we recently had a debate about if I had more hair at 2 than Cadie does at 2. The answer is clearly... YES. I had more hair than Cadie!

However, we both pale in comparison to Courtney and her long curly locks.

The girls discovered there was a cake left unsupervised on the kitchen table, they quickly climbed up on the table, got the top off and was digging in the cake with both hands!
Amazing how quick they can do that stuff!
