On this special Two for Two-sday, I thought I would show what it is like to try to get Courtney's hair cut!

Courtney has had at least 4 haircuts. Cadie... None!

Our hair dresser Melanie did trim up a few of the long fly away hairs that Cadie had. So, maybe now her hair will take off and grow. When it came time for Courtney to get her hair cut... Cadie hopped up in the chair and was ready to get her hair trimmed!
Cadie loves to have her hair combed and trimmed and loves to sit up in the chair and loves to look at herself in the mirror! She is such a diva!

In order to get Courtney to sit still... not only does Cadie sit with her...

... but we also bribe her with a sucker!

The little turkey! JM calls her the skunk... now you know why!

Its time for Two for Tuesday!
Up this week is the twins....

The girls have started exerting their independence and since have learned to take toys away from the other one! In an effort to promote kindness, when one twin hurts the other twin... we make them hug each other!

This post is coming really late... I didn't know what I wanted to post for today... but then my best friend sent me this email...



I didn't know if you have seen this or not, so I took a pic. Emma spotted this right away when we went to Dairy Queen in Lewistown for supper.


This is Cadie and Courtney's 1 yr pics. Gene Lockard is the Photographer! I love his work! He captured them beautifully!! Then as a bonus, he used their picture at the fair in Lewistown and now it is proudly displayed at Dairy Queen in Lewistown.

Two for Two-sday

My two-fer this week is...

Annie and Sammy... playing UNO while watching Pee Wee's big adventure*.

As you can tell, they were more interested in the movie than playing UNO! However, once the movie was over, they shut off the TV and we had a wonderful game of UNO! I am loving that my big kids are old enough to play games with me! I love to play games, esp. card games and I am loving taking at least 1 noc a week to play a game!

(*Oh, in case you are wondering WHY an educated person such as myself would let their child watch Pee Wee's Big Adventure... well, it wasn't my idea! Apparently, my husband watched this as a kid and frequently quotes parts of the movie?! Its lost on me as I wasn't ever a fan! The kids enjoyed it though, so I guess I am the one who is missing out now! LOL)

The girls discovered there was a cake left unsupervised on the kitchen table, they quickly climbed up on the table, got the top off and was digging in the cake with both hands!
Amazing how quick they can do that stuff!
(though, I had to grab my camera before getting them down and telling them they shouldn't be up there)!

Its Two for Two-sday!

I thought I would share a picture from the first snow we had this winter. The girls must not remember much about last winter or the snow...

...as they were so facinated by it! They loved looking out the window at it and Cadie kept saying "outside"!


My best friend Jen called to talk on the phone and she was saying how she kept having to go out to get snow for her girls. I must admit, at first I thought she was crazy...

...but, I ran out... scooped up CLEAN, untouched snow and brought it in for the girls. They LOVED it! I can see why Jen does this for her girls!

Two for Two-sday

It's Tuesday!
Time to show off my twosome!

This is THE DEERHUNTERS!

Jason loves to deer hunt. However, since he has met me, it has became increasingly less. Although, at the beginning of shotgun season, Jason is always out in the woods! For the last 3 yrs he has taken the kids with him... (which ever ones want to go).
One year, just Jonah and Annie went. The next year, just Jonah went. This year, Annie and Sammy both wanted to go as well as Jonah. However, I didn't want to let the kids miss school... so they had to wait til Saturday to go.

I don't have a picture of this as JC took my good camera and then I didn't get it back until yesterday...
want to know how many pictures he took???

Glad he had my camera all that time for NOT ONE deer picture! He shot a deer... just NO pictures!
Have I NOT taught this man anything???

Two for Two-sday

It is two for Two-sday!

This is my twosome...

... this is the twins and Grandma Carol. This is Jason's Grandma. Grandma Carol had twins of her own that died shortly after birth. They were small, and born way to early. Their names were Judith and Joanne.
Carol was so excited for us to have twins. She anxiously awaited the 9mo til they were born. She made the trek to the hospital to visit us just after they were born. With help from her daughter Deb, she held both girls at the same time, long enough for a picture.

This is the ONLY picture I have of Grandma Carol with the twins.

Grandma Carol had a mass in her lungs and opted to not do anything about it. She lived long enough to see the twins be born. Something she hung in there for.
She passed away on Jan 25. Her son's birthday. 3 weeks exactly after the twins were born.

I sure do miss her and I am saddened to think the twins will never get to know her. I had the pleasure of always knowing her as she is my Grandma's best friend (and had been since my Grandma was 2). I also got to work with Carol at Clayberg Nursing Home... long before I met Jason!

Two for Two-sday

It is Tuesday again and though I have been very busy around here lately, I wanted to share this picture with you...

This is 'bop-pa' and Cadie Kay.

My dad has always been known as 'papa' when my kids were little (and couldn't say grandpa). Sammy and Annie, at times, will still call him 'papa'! Cadie learned early on that saying 'papa' came with great rewards! However, in learning how to talk, she calls him "bop-pa"!

When I drive down their lane to their house... Cadie starts about half way past the neighbors and yells.... "bop-pa" "baaaawwww-pa" "baaaaaawww-PA!!"

When grandpa comes out, Cadie goes running and loves to sit and be cuddled! She actually sat there until she went to sleep the day the picture was taken! She has actually thrown a fit before to leave with "bop-pa" and gets rather mad when told she can't!

'Bop-pa' keeps telling her one of these days she will be big enough to go with him. Grandpa feels pretty confident when they are about 3 to take them by himself... but I don't know that he will ever be brave enough to take on both the girls at the same time!

Two for TWO-sday

it is Tuesday... and time to show off another twosome...

this is Sammy and Cadie.
She loves it when he picks her up, gives her piggy back rides and turns her upside down. I always get a little nervous when he does this as in my eyes... Sammy is a baby himself... so I am afraid he will drop her and she will get hurt... but Cadie loves it! She isn't worried!

These pics are from our last day in Indianapolis.
We were packing up and leaving the hotel and I had the girls sit on the curb so I could take pictures of them. Courtney kept saying... "go"


Finally, I was able to get a pretty good picture of them...

but something came up to get Courtney's attention....

Yep... it was the ducks! They came to say 'bye' I guess!

They were really brave too b/c they came right up to the girls and one even tried to nip Courtney's shirt!

We were playing dress up last week after I had bought the girls some new winter clothes and then we had a fashion show. Granted I was the only one here... but the girls and I had fun playing!

This is Jason and Cadie... making pig faces.

Cadie is the master at animal noises... she knows what sound a cow, horse, sheep, dog, cat, pig, rooster, chicken, goat, owl, duck and bear makes. Pig is by far one of the funniest b/c of the face she makes!
