we recently had a debate about if I had more hair at 2 than Cadie does at 2. The answer is clearly... YES. I had more hair than Cadie!

However, we both pale in comparison to Courtney and her long curly locks.

that was my very special Christmas outfit... 1973.

ok, so these guys aren't really babies anymore...

however, my scanner still isn't working... so you get a pic of the big kids!

lastly, this was taken last fall...

Cadie was chewing on the gate and Courtney was trying to sit still so I could get a good pic of them for their first Christmas!

Way back When-esday

Yeah! It is time for Way back When-esday!

This is a picture of Annie and me in 1999.

Sadly, I am not sure where this picture even comes from. I know that it was taken in October 1999. I thought that it was taken in a hotel room down in Georgia. However, the writing on the back makes me think it is from something else... but since I wasn't the one who wrote on it, I don't really trust what it says! Other than the date is correct. It is from 1999. And that is really me and Annie.

I love this picture b/c I can't believe how much Annie and Courtney look a like! I know there are some differences, but overall, they look quite a bit a like!

Way back When-sday

For this very special way back When-sday, I have selected a picture that I think really captures what a great Dad my dad is!

This was my sister's graduation from high school...


If you didn't know my family, you would think this is a picture of me and my siblings with my dad.

Well, you would be about 1/2 correct.

My sister is Penny (the one in the grad gown). My brother is Mike (the only other boy in the pic besides my dad). They are from my dad's first marriage. Their mom's name is Ellen. My mom is Sue (not pictured). I am the one with dark hair.

Are you wondering who the little blonde girl is standing next to me with the big smile?

Well, that is Lynne. She is my brother and sister's other sister. confused? Her mom is Ellen... but her dad is Allen (not my dad... who is Gordon).

Can you imagine how much fun I have with this... my brother and sister have a sister that is not my sister.... LOL

Anyway, Lynne wanted to be in the picture with all of us. Which, is fine. My family was always very accepting and rolled with the punches. They wouldn't have ever singled Lynne out and told her she couldn't be in the pictures. I think that is what makes my dad a great dad... he was very accepting. There were times when Penny was babysitting Lynne that she would come and we got to play together. I always enjoyed having someone else to play with and we are only a few months apart in age!

My mom and I have a rockier relationship than me and my dad. I love my mom... she is a great mom. She is an exceptional nurse and very well respected at the hospital we work at. It is also great to work with her and I hope one day to be as good of a nurse as she is.

My mom shortly after the twins were born let me have a photo album of me when I little... I was about 18mo in this picture.

I get told my girls look a lot like me... but I also think Sammy looks a lot like me as well...

If I only had a cool photoshop program to group pics together... but I don't. *sigh*

1. I HATE ELEVATORS. I freak out in them esp if they are very crowded.

2. I CAN NOT PUKE IN A TOILET. If I get sick, I have to puke in a bucket and then dump it in a toilet. If I am near a toilet (even to clean the base) it makes me dry heave.

3. I HATE GERMS. I am a complete germ-a-phobe. I just don't do well with dirt or my kids being dirty or being sick. Odd that I am a nurse isn't it?

4. I WILL NOT EAT BEEF AT ANY FAST FOOD RESTURANT. I found out that they import their beef and with all the mad-cow stories, I just can not bring myself to eat it. It also goes along with number 3!

5. I CAN NOT WATCH SCARY MOVIES. They scare me and I can't sleep for weeks. Not that I really sleep anyway, but it is worse if I watch something creepy.

6. I AM A SPOILED BRAT. I admit it. I am a daddy's girl big time! I like to think though that even though I am spoiled, I have a huge love for people, my family, my community and God.
