This is a picture my mom had in her photo album. My Grandpa (who had 5 girls) was a boy scout troop leader. Since my Grandma and Jason's Grandma were best friends, then Jason's dad and his brothers were in my Grandpa's troop! What is even funnier is Grandpa's girls were often at the boy scout stuff! LOL
Anyway, I love this picture b/c you can see just how much Jason looks like his dad John and I think Jonah looks a lot like Harold (John's brother)!

On this Way Back When-sday, I wanted to feature someone who has always been apart of my life... just as if she was blood related...

This is a pic of her and JM in 1994. She still looks like this. Actually, she has looked the same for over 30yrs! I swear she never ages! Anyway, she is a wonderful lady and still waves at us as we drive by. I promised years ago to bring this picture to her... think I might just do that this May.

Anyway, the house that Brandi's parents built and Brandi grew up in... is now the house that I live in! My house holds so many memories and I am very pleased to live here... and to have Brandi as my friend!

Gotta love the matching shirts! Im planning to take my parents and my children to Lockard Photography to have a picture taken with my parents and my kids. My parents have been the biggest helps when it comes to raising my kids. I want a picture to treasure of them and my kids. I would love to have my brother and sisters kids in the picture as well, but the distance is just to great to coordinate.

this was taken in Nov. We actually had quite a bit of snow and the kids were having lots of fun playing in it! Sammy had just thrown a snowball and it went flying by Annie who was trying to duck from it!

It isn't often that the little brother ends up the top dog... but he got her this time!

This isn't the highest quality picture (remember the "disc" cameras)?
Well, I had one.

When we were younger my mom and her sisters all gathered at my grandparents place for Christmas (sometimes we even spent the noc on Christmas eve)!
There use to be 12 grandkids... Tammy, Tracey, Christy, Bill, Jason, Matt, Jenny, John, Tom, Jared, Janel, and Becca
(now we have 1 more... Hope... she is a sister to Matt, Tom, and Becca... she was born the year that Matt was a senior in high school... quite the surprise, but quite the blessing)!

Now it is unusual for all of us grandkids to be at grandma's at the same time... so I don't have many group pictures (hence the reason Hope isn't in it)... that is why I treasure the ones I do have... no matter what the quality is!

2003

Sammy has always been my kid to carry a blankie. Remember Linus from Charlie Brown? That would be my Sammy. Sammy isn't a kid who causes much conflict. Sammy has always been very easy going. For the longest time, he didn't talk much, which added to his babyness. Sammy will still most likely tell you he is the baby! He would still carry the blanket if I let him! Now it stays in his room, on his bed... ready for him during naps (when he is sick) or at bedtime!

Sammy is the featured child this week b/c in less than a month, my BABY will be turning 8. yes.. 8!! I just can't believe it! Sammy just lost his 4th tooth Thursday noc...

Sammy is such a late bloomer... when most kids have lost over half their teeth already... Sammy is just on number 4!

Annie was 3 mo old in this picture. My cousins, Chuck and Mark along with my Aunt Cindy are the God parents to my oldest 3 children. Chuck's wife, Joy, made this adorable gown.

yes, that is right... MADE it... by HAND!
It is by far the most beautiful gown I have ever seen!
I swear I wanted to put Annie in it every single day until she outgrew it!

This is a picture of Annie and me in 1999.

Sadly, I am not sure where this picture even comes from. I know that it was taken in October 1999. I thought that it was taken in a hotel room down in Georgia. However, the writing on the back makes me think it is from something else... but since I wasn't the one who wrote on it, I don't really trust what it says! Other than the date is correct. It is from 1999. And that is really me and Annie.

I love this picture b/c I can't believe how much Annie and Courtney look a like! I know there are some differences, but overall, they look quite a bit a like!

Yeah! It is one of my favorite days!
Time to show off some old pics... since this week is Halloween... here are some pics from Halloweens gone by...

First up is from Halloween 2003...

This is Annie and Sammy just before we went out for the evening. Sammy was Buzz Lightyear and Annie was some Barbie princess.

Next one I had to share is from Halloween 2002.

This was Sammy's first year to really dress up. He was about 22mo in this picture. Close to the same age the twins are now! He was a cowboy!
Finally, this picture goes along with the one of Sammy.

This is JM, Annie and Hope. Sammy is also in the picture, but you can barely see him hiding out over on the right hand side! I think this was JM's last year to dress up and go trick or treating. He thought he was too old for such antics. He was 9 at the time!

Way back When-esday

I am cheating this week... I am using a picture that I have posted here before...

but I like this picture of Sammy and since Halloween is just around the corner, I wanted to use this again. Next week I will have to post one of Annie and Sammy dressed in their costumes when they were much, much younger!

I must admit, I love having a digital camera that I just take the picture, remove the SD card, put it directly into my computer and next pops up my pictures! So much easier than having to scan old photos!
But, I do it b/c I love way-back When-esdays!

hmmmm... I wasn't quite sure what picture would be a good one for this weeks way back When-sday.
After much thought, I thought I would dig out this old pic of my sister and Coltie. Many people don't realize that my parents use to have horses, and actually use to ride. Most people think Annie gets her love of horses from her Dad's side... but I really think it runs very deep in her blood from both sides!

I sure wish my dad hadn't taken down all his fences... I wish Annie could have a horse at my parents house now! Maybe someday!
